Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag

I recently purchased my first Balenciaga Motorcycle bag and I absolutely love it! This is not good AT ALL for my bank account. Now that I've graduated and have a real job I need to start saving my money for 'adult' things, but I can still lust after their bags!

The bag in question is the Classic City in the F/W 2012 precollection color Cassis. It's a gorgeous plum burgundy and is great if your outfit needs a pop of color, but you don't want it to be too bright or over the top.

This is perfect for my style because I wear a lot of neutrals and a colored bag breaks up the black or grey canvas.  Not to mention, dark purple is my favorite color!

I really like the size of the City bag because it's roomy (I managed to fit in a rain jacket and umbrella), but it's not too big that it'll get heavy once filled. This makes the City a great work bag because it holds all of my daily essentials and lunch with room to spare!

What I love most about the Balenciaga Motorcycle bag is its classic yet edgy vibe. It can be worn for any occasion, whether you're going to work or dressed for a night out!

Buying and using this purse already has me thinking about my next purchase. I'm thinking of a navy blue First with rose gold hardware (not sure if I want giant hardware or not). I want a smaller bag that I can take out and the First is great for this purpose. My going out bags are always black or grey, so navy blue is a nice alternative that still matches everything.

Check out the F/W 2012 precollection and main collection swatches below!

    1. Hi! That's a tough call - both are beautiful colors! I would say you should definitely check them out in stores and compare first, because not every bag looks the same, even if they are the same color. I love mine in Cassis and find that it matches a lot of things, especially since I mostly wear black and grey. I'd say go with Cassis, unless you wear a lot of that color already because then you don't want to be too matchy matchy with your clothing, but I don't think you can go wrong with either :)

    1. Compared to the city, the part time has a longer shoulder strap, a seam down the middle and is longer in length. I was also really indecisive when buying the bag, I couldn't decide between the city or velo, so I know how you feel! I personally like the proportions of the city better. The Rose Thulian color is very pretty, it's just a little too bright for my everyday use.

This website is a good guide to Bal bags :) http://www.lovebbags.com/p/faqs.html

    2. thank u soooo much for the helps! i was doubting between velo and city before too. but like u said, i like the proportions of the city more as well. after velo i was actually thinking about the work and the city, but i like the "bunny ears" of the city more so there goes with work. and now city and part time...even though the proportions seems a bit odd with the part time, i have to say that i am a bit tempted for it's slightly larger size. not that i drag the whole room with me when i'm out but my philosophy when it comes to buying bags = the bigger the better. :P and i have to say i never notice that seam right in the middle from the part time! (yeah i know.... love is blind and i am way too blind... lol) thanks for pointed that out! :) Rose Thulian is indeed very pretty, but haha, indeed a bit flashy for my style as well. about the indecisive, ohhhhh weeeelllll.... if only i had a endless pocket. lol

thanks for the website, i'll check it out :)
